Xperia M C 1904/1905 are the latest addition to the Xperia M series by Sony. This was done by Sony to strengthen their mid-range Android smartphone portfolio. We have already seen the announcement of C2004 and C2005. and, these will have dual-DIM support. And, now Xperia M C1904 and C1905 can now unleash the power of their device by rooting it using our simple guide. This is made possible by the efforts of Alephzain (senior-member of XDA Developers). He released Framaroot, the one click root tool in the forum.
This amazing tool allows us to select the exploit of our choice. The option available are Aragorn, Bormir, Pippin, Sam, Frodo and Legolas. Each Xperia device as one of the following exploit working. Eg. If the device is Sony Xperia M, the exploit which will work is Gandalf. And, it is recommended that you use this exploit only else, your device can brick.

Xperia M C1904/1905 : Points to Consider Before You Root
- This guide for rooting with Framaroot tool is only for Sony Xperia M C1904/1905 only. If you have some other model, please donot root. You can check the version of your device at Settings>> About Device>> Model Number.
- You need to have a Windows based PC with Internet connectivity for rooting.
- Connect your Xperia M to PC using data cable and ensure that USB drivers get installed on PC.
- Enable the USB debugging mode on your Xperia M. The option to do so is available at Settings >> Developer Options (If running Android ICS or Android Jellybean).
- For other version,it is available at Settings >> Applications >> Development.
- Ensure that your Xperia M is more than 75% charged. This is ensure that there is no unexpected shut-down of the device.
- Ensure that your device is not locked to a carrier and CWM Reocvery is installed on it.
Xperia M C1904/1905 : Root on the Go
- First of all, download the Framaroot tool on your PC. This will be an APK format file.
- Transfer this file to your Xperia M.
- Now navigate to file on your device and click on it.
- This will install the Framaroot App on your Xperia M.
- Now double click Framaroot App which is just installed on your device.
- In the Framaroot, select GANDALF Exploit from the list.
- You will get a messgae saying “Success, Superuser and SU binary installed!“.
- Now reboot your Xperia M.
- The rebooting will take a bit longer than usual time as the device is rooting.
- And once your Xperia M reboots, it is rooted!
